About the area: The van is kept in South London, with very easy access to the SE and ferry ports to Europe. Dover is about 90 mins away. It’s also an easy drive to countries such as Kent and Sussex. The van is parked on the road at my house, on a quiet residential street. If you drive, you can leave your car in its place. There is easy access by train, and the nearest tube station is Brixton, which is 15 mins by bus.
Parking: You can park in the van’s spot when you take it. Parking is free. However, if you go into or through the London ULEZ zone you will incur a fee.
Cooking Equipment: There is a fully stocked kitchen. This includes 4 bowls, 4 plates, 4 cups. A serving bowl, 4 wine glasses, 4 tumblers, 2 pots (1 small, 1 medium) 1 pan, full cutlery set for 6, a bottle opener/ corkscrew, can opener, 2 sharp knives, scissors, 2 wooden chopping boards, 1 kettle, a large salad bowl and servers, a colander.
Water and Sanitation: Water can be heated by a kettle on the two ring hob. There is drinking water and waste water for the sink. There is a 50l fresh water tank and a 50l waste water tank. We can provide a toilet and tent on request.
Audio Equipment: There is a radio in the cab and also a handmade bluetooth speaker in the back. It is made from reclaimed Oak and Mahogany from a flooring job a few years ago.
Extra Information: Aisling is the Gaelic/ Irish word for dream. Also included is a projector and screen for watching Netflix etc from your phone. Note, this can only be used when the van is connected to mains power, for example at a campsite.
Conversion Story: Aisling was a work van when we bought it, I am a professional carpenter and furniture maker so have tried to maximise the use of wood throughout. Note the solid Ash sleigh bed and the solid Oak worktop. Everything is bespoke and handmade by me.
