The 5th seat in the back has a lap belt only. 4 passenger seats are suitable for a child car seat using the belt, with an additional safety harness on the rear seats. There is an infant car seat and two child car seats that can be hired and installed.

The front three seats swivel round to create a living area around the table. Standing height in the van is 180cm.

About the area: Ken lives in a quiet residential street in Fair Oak, between the port city of Southampton and historical Winchester. The ferry ports in Southampton and Portsmouth offer the Isle of Wight, France, Spain and the Channel Islands.

Type of Heating: A diesel heater is located under the bed with a touch screen panel to easily control the temperature.

Extra Information: Ken has the option to make your adventure as chilled or as action packed as you'd like! From board games with a fresh coffee, a chill out in the swing for the kids, or paddleboarding followed by a BBQ, we aim to accommodate these requests with the additional extras.

Conversion Story: Ken started out life as a metal works van but we utilised our lockdown hours indoors to hunt him down! We wanted a van big enough for the 5 of us but small enough to easily navigate a car park, so a Mid Wheel Base with a high roof was perfect. He was converted in the Spring of 2021 by Jamie at The Camper Way in Weymouth. We tried to use as many recycled elements as possible, including the floor, which we sourced from the local wood recycling project. Jamie did a great job at bringing all our ideas for a practical family van to life, as well as the fun elements, such as the ladder and the door swing!
