Conversion Story: After many year of camping in a bell tent we decided that it was time for a bit of luxury and so Angel was born. We started by buying a VW Crafter long wheelbase panel van from a self drive hire company in Surrey. We were very specific about what we wanted from the vehicle including the condition, milage, colour, air con and bluetooth. Angel is a dream to drive which which for us sealed the deal.. Next step was the design. I knew exactly where I wanted everything to go. The only challenge was getting it all to work together without having to compromise too much. We were very fortunate to be able to work closely with Neville Munsey from Off Grid Campers in Cambridge. He helped make our vision a reality and used reclaimed pine and high quality fixtures and fittings chosen by me to finish Angel to a very high standard. All in all the conversion took around 3 months to complete, with lots of added extras like solar panels, hot and cold running water, flushing toilet, shower, sink, cooker, fridge, awning and much more. Angel really does have it all. The final step was soft furnishings. We really wanted to have a home from home so spared no expense ensuring this was just what we were after. Now that she's done we really love her and are very much looking forward to sharing her ! So it's goodbye to camping and hello to lots of happy times in our magical home on wheels.
