Dogss: We love dogs and are happy for you to bring your four legged companions along for the adventure. Please provide us with breed/size of dog(s) when booking and remember to select “Bring a dog” when choosing your extras.

Description of Beds: Skylark has a huge 150cm x 200cm fixed rear bed, thanks to a wall recess on one side and a side pod on the other. The L-shaped seating pulls out to form an additional 110cm x 170cm bed.

Description of Seating: There are three belted seats in the cab, each with a 3 point seat belt (please note, there are no Isofix points). The L-shaped seating area comfortably seats three people and has a removable dining table, handmade from solid English walnut.

Description of Electrical Setup: Skylark has a 150Ah lithium ion leisure battery which is charged by the van's alternator via a DC-DC charger and two 175W solar panels fitted to the roof. Double USB charging points are located in the seating area and in the bedside shelving.

About the area: Skylark lives a stone's throw from the beautiful Forest of Bowland Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with easy access to both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. The M6 motorway is a short drive away; connecting you to Scotland to the north and Wales to the south.

Parking: Skylark is kept at the workshop of our campervan conversion business, Bowland Camper Conversions. Free off road parking is available for the duration of your hire period (please note that parking is on a working farm and is at your own risk).

Cooking Equipment: Skylark has a double gas hob, 85l compressor fridge, Belfast sink, wine rack and large pull out larder for all your essentials. A kettle, two frying pans, two saucepans, colander, steamer, mixing bowl, two chopping boards, 4 enamel plates, bowls and mugs, 4 stainless steel pint cups, 4 knives, forks and spoons, wooden spoons and spatulas, 2 Opinel paring knives, 1 Opinel serrated knife, garlic press, peeler and bottle opener are provided. A Weber Smokey Joe charcoal barbecue and utensils and an Omnia oven are available as extras.

Water and Sanitation: There is 70L fresh water tank which supplies the sink via a pump, waste water drains into a 50L underslung grey water tank. Water can be heated in the kettle as needed. A Thetford Porta Potti chemical toilet and privacy tent, and a Hozelock Porta Shower (for external use) are available as extras.

Audio Equipment: Skylark has a standard AM/FM radio and CD player in the cab. A portable Bluetooth speaker is available on request.

Type of Heating: Heating is supplied by a Propex Heatsource 2000 LPG heater.

Extra Information: Skylark has a huge amount of storage beneath the fixed rear bed, with space for bikes, inflatable SUPs or kayaks, wetsuits, muddy boots, rucksacks and anything else you may want to bring! Skylark's interior was lovingly crafted by Matt at Bowland Camper Conversions. She is Matt and Amy's own personal camper van and was never originally intended to be a rental or show van; she holds a very special place in their hearts and they hope you love her as much as they do! The worktops are solid English walnut, created from a single slab of timber, the drawer fronts are American black walnut and all of the cabinetry was hand built in birch ply. Copper accents, patterned fabrics and the warm colours of the Spanish style tiles make Skylark a wonderful cosy home from home. Open all the doors and let the sound of birdsong and the smell of wildflowers drift through on a summer's day, or shelter from the rain and snuggle up with a book when the British weather turns; either way you'll be guaranteed a relaxing retreat from the world.

Conversion Story: Skylark started life as a builder's van and was then used to transport motorcycles from Yorkshire to Scotland. She was bought by Matt and Amy in January 2020 and gradually converted over the following 9 months. Her maiden voyage was a 3 week road trip around Scotland's highlands and islands with Matt, Amy and their 3 dogs and Scotland remains one of their favourite places to visit. Matt and Amy poured their heart and soul into this build and are never quite done adding little tweaks and personal touches.
