Description of Beds: Jute sleeps up to 3 adults, in 1 fixed double bed (174 x 140 cm) and one sofa converted single bed (170 x 61 cm).

Description of Seating: There are three belted seats in the front (including driver) with headrests, seats suitable for a seat belted car seat. Seating area in the van can sit up to 4 comfortably.

About the area: A wee visit to the Verdant Works museum will give an insight into Dundee’s workers past, including the Jute industry, after which she is named. As well as The Verdant Works, Dundee has the V&A museum, not one, but two famous ships: The Discovery and The Unicorn, a brand new waterfront including an urban beach, and along with other tourist attractions, it has the title of the sunniest city in Scotland, so it is a great place to start your Road Trip! We are within a couple of hours drive from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and up the A9 towards the Glens, passing through the lovely villages of Pitlochry, Dunkeld and Aviemore. Inverness is a bit further on, where you can join the North Coast 500. Or, you could go west to the beautiful islands of Skye and the Outer Hebrides.

Parking: Jute's home is in a quiet housing estate, and there is a parking space available if you are arriving by car. If you arrive by train, collection and drop off can be arranged from Dundee train station (please see optional extras). If you are arriving by bus, Jute is about a 5/10 minute walk to the closest bus stop, please contact us and we can arrange pick up/drop off if needed.

Cooking Equipment: Jute has a 2 hob gas stove, a gas oven and an 80 litre fridge in her fitted kitchen and a full range of utensils and cutlery will allow you to cook as much or as little as you like, Including: pan and frying pan, cutlery (including child's set) 4 melamine cups, bowls, plates, cups and wine glasses. Chopping boards, kettle, cooking utensils, tin opener, corkscrew, cheese grater, sharp knife and colander. There is a dustpan and brush, washing up utensils and tea towels.

Water and Sanitation: Jute has an indoor thermostatic mixer shower, heated by gas or electric hookup. The shower provides a private area for portable toilet (added extra)

Water from the tap is drinkable, the source is an 80 litre water tank via a pump. This allows off grid camping. The grey 30 litre water tank is easily accessible to empty.

Audio Equipment: Bluetooth speakers can be used as an optional extra.

Type of Heating: Jute has Truma LPG gas heating or electric hookup, which keeps her cosy on or off grid.

Conversion Story:

Jute is the latest conversion by Alan at The Hills Campers, based just outside Glasgow. She started life as a flooring company van and was converted in 2022. Alan used his previous experience of converting vans to fine tune Jute and we think the result is fantastic. It has everything you need for a comfortable holiday away in this beautiful country.

She now lives in Dundee and is named for the city's Jute, Jam and Journalism past.
