Description of Seating: There are 2 belted seats in the front that have swivel function and headrests. There is space around the dining table for 4. The swivel seats at the front enable the use of the extra lift up table space in the kitchen as a work or relaxing space.

Description of Electrical Setup: Emily has a great set up, with a 300 Ah lithium battery, 2000 Watt inverter (great for hairdryers or straighteners) and 300 watt solar panel, which will have you covered to be able to be reliably off grid. There is a hook up via an external socket. There are 6 double USB charging points, 2 12v sockets. 240v/European Sockets (for hook up) and a 40 litre compressor fridge with ice box.

About the area: Emily lives in the picturesque village of Belton, perfectly located to explore the beautiful Leicestershire countryside, based in the National Forest and close to the Market town of Ashby-de-la Zouch. Local attractions include Conkers, Bradgate Park, Calke Abbey, Staunton Harold Estate and Donnington Park Race Track. Travelling further afield will take around an hour to get to Sherwood Forest, the Peak District, the Cotswolds or Alton Towers.

Collecting Emily is easy by road, rail or air. Located a short distance from M1/M42, Loughborough/ East Midlands Parkway Railway stations and East Midlands Airport.

Parking: If you drive to collect Emily, you are welcome to leave your car in her normal spot on the drive.

Cooking Equipment: Emily has a 2 burner gas hob, and all the necessary cooking equipment to cook up a feast. 4 "proper" mugs, melamine plates and bowls for 4. 2 acrylic wine glasses, champagne flutes, tumblers and pint glasses, cutlery, chopping board, kettle, Ridgemonkey (also used as a frying pan/griddle pan), large and small saucepan, stove top coffee pot, selection of sharp knives, tin opener, corkscrew/bottle opener, grater, peeler, small dustpan and brush, washing up bowl, dish drying mat, washing up liquid and tea towels.

Water and Sanitation: Emily has a 75 litre water tank under the rear bed seat, and a Truma Combi heater to heat the water for the kitchen and indoor bathroom shower. There is a grey waste tank under the floor that can be emptied at an appropriate disposal point via a tap. There is a fitted cassette toilet in the bathroom which uses eco-friendly chemicals.

Audio Equipment: Emily has built in DAB radio and sat nav. A Bluetooth Bose speaker and Emily's own Wi-Fi router provide the ability to stream audio from your own devices. A smart TV links to the Bluetooth speaker and onboard Wi-Fi so that you can catch up on all your favourite shows.

Type of Heating: A Truma Combi heater that runs on gas/electric (if on hook up) will keep you toasty warm all year round.

Extra Information: Emily is a compact van without compromising on features. She will comfortably fit into a standard car space, but with headroom to be able to stand. Built from lightweight poplar plywood, with solid oak worktops/tables and trim. She is capable of being used all year round with heating and on board fresh water tank. The luxury of an onboard toilet and shower make for a self-contained, comfortable home on wheels. No one wants to talk about work - but she can be used as a home office - with free Wi-Fi included in the UK, and an inverter for powering laptops. There is clever storage throughout - including lockers either side of the bed and a small Wardrobe/Shelves. A 25 litre refillable underslung LPG tank will keep you well supplied for gas for heating and cooking.

She is perfect for solo travellers/couples or for travelling with 1 adult and 1 child.

Conversion Story: Emily was always intended to be a campervan and was initially purchased and converted by an artist named Emily. Sadly, Emily became unwell and we acquired her camper. We have named the van Emily in her memory.

We have previously undertaken a self build, which we still enjoy using, visiting the local countryside, festivals and snowboarding holidays in the alps. The creative vibe was calling so this is our second van. Between my husband, Phil and myself, Jo, we wanted to create a fully functional all year/off grid van to a high specification with a quality finish. Self contained but in a compact space. It has taken many hours and cups of tea to achieve this. All of the conversion has been completed between ourselves. We hope you enjoy using her as much as we enjoyed creating her, and look forward to seeing your adventures.
