About the area: Stan is located in East Dulwich, London, a hidden gem of South East London. The area has a village-feel with a quaint high street, lots of independent stores and eateries, and two large parks. From East Dulwich there’s easy access to the Surrey Hills, the South coast, and ferries at Dover to head to Europe.

Description of Beds: Stan sleeps two people comfortably. The custom-made bed is incredibly comfortable, the side-pods extend the length of the bed to 200 cm, and the width is 140 cm so anyone up to 6"1 can sleep comfortably without needing to bend their legs. The bed is fixed, so no need to spend time setting it up each night, and the van has plenty of headspace at 230cm high, so is great for taller people.

Description of Seating: Stan has belted seats at the front so is best suited for two people. It can fit four people socially in the main living space if you'd like to have guests over.

Description of Electrical Setup: The van has 2 x 100ah GEL batteries, 200W Solar panels for off-grid adventurers, three charging points (both USBs and 240V outlet for household appliances), and a 240V hook up point and cable.

Parking: Stan can be parked anywhere on Hansler road, or the nearby streets, which is free on-road parking. If you drive to collect Stan from East Dulwich, you are welcome to leave your car in her normal spot. If you come by train, Stan's owners will be able to pick you up from the train station.

Cooking Equipment: Stan has a two burner gas cooker, and a fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans, a large frying pan, cooking utensils, a kettle and coffee plunger. Stan has everything you could need to cook up a feast, including 4 traditional tin camping mugs, 4 cups and 4 bowls, 4 large dining plates, cutlery for 4, a chopping board, and strainer. There are two sharp knives, a tin opener, and a corkscrew/bottle opener.

Water and Sanitation: Stan has Truman gas heater which heats the water in the sink and outdoor shower. There is a 10-litre underslung water tank that supplies water to the sink via a pump. Stan does not have a fixed toilet, but a Thetford porta potti is available for hire on request.

Audio Equipment: Stan has in-built speakers in the front and rear of the van. USB plug-in and Bluetooth are both available so you can play your own music.

Type of Heating: Stan has a Truman heater and interactive dial which can heat the campervan to your desired temperature quickly. It also has a MaxxAir Maxxfan in the roof to cool the van on hot days.

Pet Information: Stan is a brand new campervan isn't suitable for large dogs. However, if your pet is unlikely to cause any damage to the van, please send us a brief pet profile and we can consider your request.

Extra Information: Stan is a beautiful Mercedes Sprinter conversion with a bespoke interior fit completed by a furniture maker in Bournemouth who has made the van interior feel like a small luxurious apartment.

Conversion Story: Stan began life as an Amazon delivery van and was converted in 2023 by Salty Bespoke Interiors in Bournemouth after we spotted their beautiful craftsmanship on Instagram (@saltybespokeinteriors). Stan is inspired by beach-side apartments in the area and her units are built in Poplar ply with solid Oak countertops, Liam and Natalie chose their own unique colour scheme, as well as modern luxuries such bedside lamps, and a top of the line gas heater.

About the Owner: Liam and Natalie met in London 2 years ago and hired a van in Scotland to explore the highlands together. They fell in love with van life and purchased their own Mercedes Sprinter in 2023 to convert it to a beautiful campervan, Stanley. They still live in London and take Stan away for weekends as often as they can.
